Day 11 River to Weipa. By Adelaide

This morning we woke up in our swags listening to the river and the ocean 🌊. When we got out of bed we started the fire 🔥 and cooked bacon, 🥓 eggs, 🍳 sausages and tomatoes 🍅. Once we had finished we got ready to catch the boat 🚤 back.

When we were ready we still had a while before the boat 🚤 came so we went fishing 🎣. Bill and Tilly had to leave early because they were riding the quads back. We didn’t catch anything before the boat 🚤 came.

We got on the boat 🚤 and took off. We got splashed a few times because of the waves 🌊 the boat 🚤 was making. We even saw a crocodile 🐊.

Once we got back Mum started to cook toasties while Tilly had an attempt to fix the broken spring on the horse float. The toasties were great and were gone in a few seconds. While we were sitting down doing nothing we realised it was Jackie’s birthday 🎉 🎂 🥳. Lucky 🍀 for us dad was still in town so he could get Jackie a present 🎁. He came back with candles 🕯 because by the look of her house 🏡 she loved 🥰 candles 🕯. Dad, Steve and Bill then helped Till fix the float. We are not really doing much but dad and Mum decided we should go to the pub for a special treat for her birthday 🎉 🎂 🥳.  

When Jackie got back from work we gave her the candles 🕯 and she loved them a lot so that was good 👍🏻. She told us all about her day at work and how her boss gave her a present 🎁 and somebody went to go get her a slice to use as a birthday cake 🎂 and they all sang happy birthday 🎉🎈🎂 🥳. After having showers 🚿 and getting ready we were soon ready to go to the pub. Steve and Jackie told us that Chloe (their daughter was going to be meeting us at the pub. When we were there this man came over and asked us if we wanted to compete in a trivia. Of course we said yes. There was six topics but at the end of each topic he would give you a clue to a thing he was thinking. The first team that got the answer got five free drinks 🍻. On the second topic a team called More Springs For The Horse Float got it, and guess what that team was…us!

After all it was a great day!
