Day 4 Morgan to the side of the road by Emily

This morning we woke up in Morgan SA, on the Murray River, and we are now heading to Burra for another radio interview for Dad, at 9:30.
Just then we passed a man on a grader that is used to flatten things. He was standing on top of the grader with no roof. We also saw a tree that people like to hang their shoes on - a shoe tree.
It is very desert like in SA, because all the trees are small and the ground is dry and stoney- 🌵🐪

This is the view from our car of Dads car.

Also, just then we saw a man on a push bike carrying all of his storage, we have also seen a mob of Emus and a lot of dead Kangaroos.

and Patchy is finally asleep 😴

All the sheep are red, since the dirt is this colour.

We just passed  another mob of Emus, and this time we stopped to take a photo..

We have now arrived at Burra. In Burra we had breakfast at the bakery, and went shopping at Bullrush, and another place.

We are now heading to Orraroo. On the way to Orraroo came passed some wind turbines, and they looked like this.

Now we have stopped at a petrol station, and we have seen heaps of road trains today.

We have just came by another mob of Emus, and a lot of sheep.

Jess feels sorry for the emus because they look funny when they run, and she thinks the sheep will laugh at them.

We also just saw another mob of Emus and 2 of them where like a meter away from the road, and the  other one was still on the other side of the fence.

We just drove over Flinders Ranges. On the other side of the Flinders Ranges is the ocean.

We just stopped at a lookout and saw this:

And we also saw a road train that looked like this

After that we headed to Spuds roadhouse. At Spuds roadhouse we had an ice cream and I got some souvenirs.

Today, we almost crashed into a cow that was on the road, and yesterday we almost crashed into a kangaroo, so I wonder if we will crash into a camel tomorrow.

Now we are stopped on the side of the road, with a fire. We have had tea and are going to bed.

Goodnight.

  1. Dear Phegan family,
We hope you are all enjoying your holiday.
From what we have seen you are having a great time! You've seen a lot of animals but have you seen a camel yet? (Don't crash into one like Emily said!)
We can't wait to see where you venture to next.
    We all miss you!
