Day 10 Kings Canyon to Kings Canyon By Billy P

This morning when we woke up at Kings Canyon, Dad, Jess, Tilly and I (Bill) did a test drive on a dirt road which is a shortcut to Alice Springs. It was alright and thought it will do for us. On the way back to the float we saw a dingo next to a sign. Dad was making a dingo noise and we got a photo of it. We had toasties again for breaky. Our neighbours took a photo for us.
Now we are going to the Canyon. Tilly, Mum and I are walking the 12 kilometre one and the others are doing the short one. Our first stop was at Kathleen Springs gorge. At the end of the gorge, was a little creek of nice fresh water. On the walk we saw these things.

At the water whole we got this photo.
On the way we also saw these.
Now we are back on the road heading to Kings Canyon. When we got to the Canyon, we saw some people we know so we talked and talked. It turns out that the gorge that we thought was 12 kilometres is 6 so Emily came as well. We all set off, and after a moment the short walkers ( Dad, Jess, Adelaide and Paddy) said on the UHFs that they are coming on the big one because a big rock fell on the short track. They caught up to us after a while and we all went to the Garden of Eden. After that we kept walking and walking. When we were nearly there we saw a girl who rolled her ankle and the ambulance had to come. When we got to the bottom we went back to the car and drove to the pub for tea. We saw our friends from netball and footy there then we went back to the float. Now we were watching a movie but decided to read our books instead. And now we are going to bed.🛌
