Day 2 Lallarook to Robinvale by Tilly

This morning we woke up and went into Gagga and Dazzle’s house for breaky. James had already left for work, but Maddy and Charlie were still there. Gagga spoiled us with our breaky. Then we played a few magnetic board games that Gagga and Dazzle gave Adelaide for her birthday. We took them with us because they’d be good to play while we’re travelling. Then we practiced our piano while we could and said bye to everyone and left to head off to our next stop.

We’re going back home again to hook the float to Donk (the ute that we took on our last trip) and we would have to take two cars so we all fit in safely.

We drove towards the Schilg’s place because we neede to drop off some of Dad’s shirt’s that they had ordered. On the way, we say Shelly’s car parked outside the school when Emmy said that she was on canteen today. I ran in and gave it to her. Then we met Dad there who had left home a bit after we did and got some take- away lunch at the coffee shop.
We had our lunch  in the car on our way to Berigan. We didn’t stop at Berigan, we kept going to Finley and Deniliquin. We stoped at Deniliquin at the BP to get something quick to eat, go to the toilet and fill up the cars with fuel. We kept going to Kyalite where we stopped to see if we wanted to stay there the night because that’s were we stayed last time. We thought we still had a bit more time to drive, so we just stopped and us kids went down and took a few photo’s at the river then came back up to keep driving.

We stopped at Tooleybuc which is where we thought we would end up staying the night, but we realised that Robinvale would be less than an hour away, so we kept driving. I’m in with Mum. We saw some fresh citrus fruit and stop to see how much it was, but they only had the really big bags left and we knew we wouldn’t be able to eat them all before we cross the South- Australian border. Now we are driving to Robinvale.
So far, as we’ve been driving, Emily, Bill and Mum have counted 86 dead kangaroos on the side of the road and one alive one. I think it might of actually been smart enough to realise that he shouldn’t cross the road seeing that all his mates are dead.
Now we’re in Robinvale and Bill went for a quick fish.

We went to the toilet and Dad started the fire. Adelaide and I made sausages for tea while Dad played his guitar near the fire with the other kids.

After tea we fed Paddy and Mum had a lay down because she has started to feel a bit sick. Now the others are still at the fire and I’m finishing this. Good night!
