Day 15 - Alice Springs to Threeways by Jess

This morning we woke up in Alice Springs. We were not sure what we were going to do today. We were booked in for another night in the Showgrounds, but Dad decided that we were going to move to a different place to camp at tonight. After we had toasted sandwiches from Mum and Adelaide, we hopped in the car and went to the Alice Springs markets. Before we went to the markets, Dad had to drop a CD to someone on the way, we also took a picture at the Alice Springs sign.
There wasn’t much special at the markets, but there were a few cool things. I didn’t get anything, but Dad went back to the book shop that he likes and got some more books. After the markets we went back and got the horse float. Today it was Emmy’s and my turn to go with Dad. We stopped and fueled up at Alice Springs and then left. Our next stop was at a place Ti Tree where we fueled up and got an ice cream. On the way to the next stop we saw a wild donkey on the side of the road, which I thought was a bit random. There was also a lot of cattle on the road. We went past the Devils Marbles, but didn’t stop because us older kids have already been there a few times and so it was just Paddy that needed to see them, but Paddy was asleep so we didn’t stop, but Tilly took a photo of him with the Devils Marbles behind him.

The next stop was Tennant Creek. We got there at about 8:30 and fueled up and got tea (Red Roster). It was late enough to stop, but Dad said that there were too many black fellas in Tennant Creek so he didn’t want us to stay there the night, so instead we drove about 20 k’s to Threeways, which is where you can go south to go to Adelaide, you could go north to Darwin, or you could go east to go to Queensland. We got a park at Threeways and are going to bed. Night. Sorry for the lack of photo’s, so I’ll make up with selfies.
