Day 30 Broome by Tilly

This morning we got up and made ourselves some breakfast. Then I did Emily and Adelaide's hair.
We just went to the cafe and got an ice-cream because it is ice-cream Saturday.
Then we got ready to leave. We got in the car and drove to town. Our first stop was at the voting place.
After Mum and Dad voted  Dad took the car to get it checked and we went for a walk.
We were trying to find the pearl shop. We found a kid sitting on the stairs, so we asked him to tell us where the shops were. He told us some instructions, he said turn left, but pointed right. so we followed the instructions and found the shops. We went to a shop and got Mums pearl that they had finished making for her.
Then we went to the Willie Creek pearls shop. We got some stuff there. Then we had a look at some other shops near by.
At one of the shops a lady showed us a picture and told us how a pearl is formed.

Then Dad picked us up and Donk was
all good. Then we drove to the horse races.
At the races us kids weren't allowed to bet, so Dad did for us. Emily won $7.50, Bill won $11.65 and Adelaide won $15.60, but had to give Mum $10 because of her lucky dip. Jess, Dad and I didn't win anything and Mum didn't bet.

Some of the horses looked very focused and some of the others didn't look slightly interested. Dad kept going for one horse, then changing his mind and the first one he chose always won.
The track was a big track made of dust.

Then we got back in the car and were going to go to the Open air cinemas, but Dad said we didn't deserve it. So we drove back to the float.
We all went for a walk down to the beach, besides Dad. At the beach there was a very pretty sunset.

When we were at the beach there was a dog that looked like Oddball off the movie. He is behind us on the left in this picture.

On the beach we played a game of stuck in the mud on the sand. On the way in we saw a sign that said last time someone has seen a salt water croc was yesterday at 3.30pm, so we stayed well away from the water.
By the way Liz. I have forgotten to tell you. This is where I used to sleep, but I have swapped beds with Bill.

Now we are about to go to sleep, goodnight.
