Day 29 - Manning gorge to Broome - by Jess

Day 29😀
This morning we woke up at a gorge called Manning Gorge. I woke up in my swag on the back of the ute and the others woke up in there swag on the grass. It was my turn to sleep on the back of the ute.

For breaky we had sausages. Today we were going to walk some more gorges. Our first gorge that we went to is the Manning Gorge. At Manning Gorge there was a boat that you had to go on to get to the other side.  The 10 year old girl running the boat said that when you pull yourself to the other side don't go to hard anther wise you would make the hole in the boat bigger. That explains why there is so much water in the boat. She also said that there is only crocodiles in there at night time which made us all laugh because where would they go in the day time? Here is a picture of Dad, Tilly and Bill on the boat.

It was a hard 4km walk. At the end there were some waterfalls and a big waterhole. When we got to the end we realised that Emily was missing. We couldn't find her for about 15 minutes. A family found Emmy for us and she was crying. After we found Emily we went for a swim in the waterhole. Bill, Dad, Tilly and I went to the waterfalls and climbed up to the start of the waterfalls here is a picture of us.

After that gorge we hopped back into the car and went to petrol station called Mt Barnette. We get some lunch at the petrol station. We are now at the second gorge called Galvins gorge. At this gorge I don't swim but the others do. Dad and Bill go fishing but they don't catch anything. Here is a photo of the others swimming.
 .
We get back onto the road and soon we are at the third gorge. It is called Adcock gorge. The third gorges road wasn't very good. You had to drive through a river and we didn't walk the whole thing because we needed to go. We are now back on the road. Our next stop was Bell gorge. There were two places to swim in. One was on top of the water fall and one at the bottom of the waterfalls.

Bill also caught his first 2 solo fish.

We all had a turn but we didn't catch anything. It was getting dark and we wanted to make it to Durby and so we left. On the road we saw some cows, wallabies, possums and a big snake.

We made it to Durby but everything was closed and so we decided to go back to Broome which was 2 hours away. We only just made it with the petrol. Now we are home safely and going to bed. Goodnight😉
